How does this program work?

Step 1 - Consultation

During your initial consultation we will go through your current skincare and lifestyle to discuss possible acne triggers. We will also take a look at your skin to determine the best first step.

Step 2 - Acne Treatments

Our treatments are tailored to what your skin needs that day. We use a combination of our Aerolase laser, acne peels, high frequency and LED. Treatment frequency will range between every 2 to 4 weeks.

Step 3- Home-care

Our Face Reality Skincare is formulated for acne prone skin. We will help to build a perfect routine for your skin type. The home-care is one of the most important aspects as this is what will truly help clear your skin along with our in office treatments.

What is the Aerolase Laser?

Aerolase is a 1064: YAG with microsecond technology which is an ideal treatment for acne and safe for all skin types. This powerful acne treatment eliminates the major contributing factors like excess oil production, inflammation, and p. acne bacteria. It will reduce the severity of current outbreaks while reducing the frequency of future breakouts.

There is no downtime with this laser. Most patients see a decrease in the redness and size of the breakouts immediately after the treatment.

Frequency Asked Questions

  • It is highly safe, effective, and tolerable for all skin types, all ages, and all types of acne. The treatments may be performed without any skin cooling, anesthetic, and even without the need to touch the skin. It’s an excellent option for patients that do not want to take prescription medications or are unable to.

  • Blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, cyctic and nodules.

  • Results will vary per person depending on the severity of the acne. We typically see immediate results in reducing oil production, pore size, inflammation/redness and overall number of acne lesions. Full results can take up to 4 weeks to see.

  • Unlike traditional therapies is no downtime meaning there is no irritation such as itchy, dry or sensitive skin following. It will actually help to decrease redness and inflammation immediately after.

  • This will all depend on the severity of your acne. We will want you to come in either every week or every other week if possible for the first 4-6 treatments. After that, we will suggest getting maintenance treatments every so often.

  • There is no numbing cream needed for this treatment as it is very comfortable. Most patients say they feel a mild warming sensation.

  • Acne is a chronic condition. Factors like hormones, genetics, diet, proper skincare amongst others can contribute to the continuation of acne. We will go through this during your consultation to help you better pin point internal and external triggers. We typically combine our Acne 360 Face Reality Skincare Program with these laser treatments to achieve the best results possible.
